Simple Graduation Pop Up Card

Graduation cards don't need to be elaborate...they just need to say simply what you want to convey...

Happy Graduation Day!

I don't have the stamp set, and I don't know if I want to buy it right now, only because it might be discontinued soon..and I need to conserve my $$ right now....

but, by cutting cardstock right, you can make a card that will say it all....and bring a smile to the Graduate!

This one, is cut with Basic Black 4 1/4" x 11"
I scored it in 1/2 at 5 1/2"

I then cut squares:
Black 4" square
Summer Sun 4 1/8" square
Baroque Burgundy 4 3/8" square

I punched a hole in the center, by marking the center first...drawing a pencil line on the back of the black cardstock by criss crossing the corners and then finding the center. I used a scissor point to punch a hole, or you can use a sharp needle or push pin. I then put the brad inside, and added a nice gold tassel. You can use your school colors to go around the square.

I then put a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper inside folded to pop out. Inside you can use printed paper, for a Graduation party, dinner, lunch or some words of wisdom for the graduate....

I will post instructions on how to fold this tomorrow. It is exactly like the square folding with a few variations...

Now....below is another lei that I made for a friend's niece who is graduation from Northwestern University...I made one for my friend's daughter who just graduated from CSU Dominguez, so....it only is fair to give one to the cousin..right?

And then the next lei is for a downline's son who is graduating from Middle School....it is more masculine.....

See what happens when you get started with something???
it keeps rolling and rolling and rolling...
