Happy Birthday Easel Card

I found this card on a blog and it has been going around on other blogs,........

I am not going to link it to you, because I want to do this in my next class in January.... (Class is January 9, 11:30 am to 1:30pm) Reserve your spot by emailing me!

This is more of the Sweet Pea Designer paper that comes in a 24 sheet 12x12 pack! I love it...!!!
The colors are yummy and spring like with a hint of pastel, and an edge with Chocolate Chip, Taken with Teal and So Saffron....

The lace edge is done with the Pinking hearts border punch, in the NEW STYLE! Be sure to come to the class to see how this new punch works!!!

I put a 3x3 envelope that is cut at the top to hold a gift card inside....what a nice surprise for a birthday gift....!!!

Sweet Pea, Love YOU!

Mary Fish was my Inspiration for this card..and I almost cased it exactly...with a few changes...

When I saw this card, I knew I had to create something that used these elements...I mean, that's why I bought all the Stitched felt and the Designer papers! I love this paper!
It comes in a 12x12 pad, that has 24 double sided papers!

I did use my Nesties to cut the circles, in Old Olive and the Designer paper (Sweet Pea)

They attach easily with red Sticky tape or Glue dots!

The New set Tiny Tags, coordinates with the new Tag punch! It is so cute!

Collage Creations with MDS

My Digital Studio is so easy to make projects that you can share with anyone...

You can make a cool collage of pictures for fun, or for your blogs! I made this and it took maybe 20 minutes to 'paste' them together. I think I am going to try using this to create collages for my projects as well. It would help make a tutorial for projects that would be 'printable' and easy to post on my blog as well as hand out!

So, the year in review...(well sort of). I think I might need another 10 pages...er maybe a book of 20 collage pages to really "summerize" 2009....

I missed this one !!! --->

Holiday Extravaganza - Free Decor Elements

I knew that if I got one of these buckets that I would find something great to put on it!

I found this at T----t (the one with the big red bulls eye logo) for 2.50. I saw this on Patty Bennett's site
So, I got out my bucket and decided to case the idea from her blog!

Decor Elements is the easiest thing to apply. I love how easy it is, and it sure spiffs up almost anything! The Flurry Decor Elements was one of the FREE gifts that Stampin' Up! gave away for free, and it has lots of snowflakes. This is one of the larger ones, and it is about 8" across, so you can see how large this bucket is! (Free with qualifying purchase, more details on the website

Blossom Party Gift....gloves & hat

Shopping for giftss? Well, so am I...I saw these cute hats and gloves...they had them in other colors, but I love black, and well, black goes with about anything right?

I got some felt...now, if I was going to be really giving these as gifts, I would use fleece or wool felt, rather than polyester felt...

SO, ....cutting some of these pieces, I cut some of the flowers using the Blossom Party die, and attached them with the rhinestone brad....just for the effect.

I think that the best way to attach the flowers is probaby to sew them, but this is good for the effect.

I purchased the hat and gloves at J---'s craft store for 2.50 each, and the felt was about .29 each. I didn't use the yellow, but I might go back and add more blossoms to this.. What do you think?

This is really bright and cheery (much more than the picture really shows..)...I gotta work on this more so that it will actually be a great gift to give.

Isn't the Big Shot wonderful? I think that you can embellish anything with the BIG SHOT!!!

Another Progressive Page

Tell us Californians...it is WINTER! Well, this is my daughter getting ready for WINTER Camp..yes, they were going up to the mountain, and there was snow up there too.....

and this is how they dress for it!!

This actually was a few years ago..but it was the only one I could find where they actually had some long sleeves....
What is funny, is that they were cold up there...

Anyways, this is a PROGRESSIVE scrapbook page. The first photo is a 6x6 scrapbook page, and I used squares of color. They can be filled with photos, or just leave it with punched snowflakes.

Stepping up the page to a 8 1/2 x 11 page, I added a 5x7 frame and the title WINTER using the Bigz simple letters. It comes on 4 plates, and will cut through cardstock and chipboard. I used cardstock in winter white.

Stepping up to a 12x12, I moved the 8 1/2 x 11 sheet over, and twisted the 5x7 frame to horizontal, and then moved the small photo of my daughter and her friend to the corner. I can still add more photos to this page or just leave it....simple!

And...I added another photo. (it is one from my computer...not from my camera... but it was a Winter photo!)

I am having problems with Random.org tonight, so I will have to announce the Blog Candy winners tomorrow...apologies..!!!

btw, I am going to surprise you with this....I found more of the popcorn decor rub ons...so I will be sending out 11!!

Snowman pocket

On another roll......TA DUM!!!!......!!!

I thought the other one was cute, so I made this one, using the A2 Size envelope. (4 3/8" x 5 3/4")

Seal Your envelope....then, turn your envelope to the side, and cut off leaving a 4" pocket x 4 3/8"

this will make your snowman. Turn the edges up 1 1/4" just like the other smaller one (which is 1") and that forms the face.

I punched out 4) 3/4" circles and used the white gel pen for the eyes only. I drew the mouth connecting up the cheek dots.

The hat band is 1 1/2" x 11, and the hat top is 2 1/2" x 4" from Basic Black.
The elastic is added to the back and I made a little folder for a gift card to go inside...

I think my nephew won't care about the snowman but he'll like the gift card inside....at least I hope he will!!! oops, I forgot to add the Candy Cane..well, I still have time, right?

I know I don't know the difference between PS2 and PS3 PSP or Wii ....aaaahhh! too much technology!!!!

Snowman Soup

Tami White has such a cute tutorial on her website and I just wanted to share a few things that I did on my snowman.....

I added a flower to mine, from the Trio of flowers in Boho Blossoms.

I got the Candy Canes from the store in a box of 12 for 88 cents, and the Cocoa is from the store, although I don't know if this one is still available any more.

I hesitated to open the packets, but...

I got out a MEDIUM flat Cello Baggie #102757 $4.50 for 50. I poured in the Cocoa first. Then opened up the package of the CUTEST little marshmellows, into the cocoa on top. I then rolled the cello bag to make it into a tube. Then I put on packaging tape to hold the shape.

It worked perfectly! There is a lot of cocoa, so the larger bag works out great!
Isn't this just the cutest thing! I am going to make more of these, and use the larger envelopes to make them for GIFT CARDS!!! What a cool idea so be sure to check out Tami's website!!

Decor Elements gifts - BLOG CANDY!

This bowl was at my local supermarket, and it was screaming POPCORN!!! With the PLAIN white stripe, it needed something to finish it off...
I bought several of these rub ons from last year, when they retired it...and (what a bargain!).....
I love popcorn, and although I like to pop my own the old fashion way, I know most people don't know how to make it that way...so Microwave popcorn is easy and fast....

AND...makes a tasty gift treat!

I wrapped it up in Christmas Cocoa paper...and I am going to put in a few packets of Cocoa as well...I think it needs Cocoa...
The snowflakes were cut from Brushed Gold Cardstock and Chocolate chip and Real Red Cardstock. They were tied with cording (retired from last year as well).

ENTER IN MY BLOG CANDY GIVE AWAY......If you want to be entered in a drawing for the POPCORN RUB ON...be sure to put a comment on my blog. I will be sending them out to 3 people! You will receive 1 Decor Element rub on {POPCORN}

DRAWING WILL BE ON Friday, December 19th by Random Drawing. Rub on will be mailed to you. If you want this before Christmas, please include your email address in the Comment so I can contact you QUICKLY!!!!

Vintage Vogue Clear Mount Stamps

New stamps are always fun to work with, but these are really fun! They are the new Clear mount stamps that Stampin' Up! is now featuring in the UPCOMING NEW Mini Catalog!
This is the new set Vintage Vogue. I love this set, and it is a "Shelli" exclusive set!
I needed to make a sympathy card, so I coordinated it with Thoughts & Prayers. It is a matchbook close, where the flap inserts under the words, Praying for You.
The colors used are Regal Rose, Real Red, and Always Artichoke.

All that Glitter...

Christmas is only 16 days away!
But....it also is only 27 days til the New Mini Catalog is available to order!

I got a few things from the Mini catalog and one of them was the bird punch! I love this! It punches out the bird, the wing and the little branch with 4 leaves. I thought it would be pretty to mount 2 wings on this (it punches 1 wing, so I had to add another punched wing to it.

The Bird & snowflake is punched out of Gold cardstock and the ribbon was added along with vanilla cardstock.

The background is embossed with the Petals a Plenty, embossing folder, and then I rubbed Versamark on the top embossed areas, and then used Heat & Stick. I added gold and red glitter to the Heat & Stick and wow! This does really glimmer!

It is mounted on Handsome Hunter Cardstock and then again on Gold cardstock.

2 Sweet TriShutter Album

2 Sweet is a retired Simply Scrappin' Kit but...
I absolutely love it! It is one of the kits that really is great for tweens or teens....the phrases are "totally" cool!

Each of the papers used are from the kit, and I used Andrea Walfords basic design to case my album (yes, I did purchase her tutorial...it is the simplest way to make it, so don't skimp and try to do without, go to her website and buy it or take my class!)
www.andreawalford.com

I don't have all the insides decorated yet....but I might just give this as a gift for some lucky friend!
Really doesn't do much justice not having all the embellishments in the book but it will look great with photos too!

The Colors used are Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, and Old Olive

Gifts are not just IN the box....

Gifts are always fun to get. I think that when you buy a gift or make a gift, it is what you think about the person that you're giving it to a special meaning.
As lovely as this bracelet might be, the BOX IS VERY PLAIN! It is very apparent that there is just a bracelet in a box...that's all....

SO...I thought I would make this box into something MORE special!
I covered part of the top and the base with some pieces of Designer paper that I had (they were already cut and practically were screaming to get out and be used!!)
so, I cut and glued, and added it to the box...and the die cut some flowers to layer on top. I added a corderoy brad on top, and it pokes though the box to adhere it very well to the top of the box.

Now....isn't this just so much more special? I think that both the box and the bracelet will be savored for a longer time...don't you?
Happy Shopping!

Build A Bear Christmas

I have resisted......buying Build A Bear dies, but .
..I finally caved and bought one of the embosslets! What fun you can create with this cute die! So, if you've resisted purchasing all the Build A Bear dies, this might be one option you can choose to create some cute bears, and to decorate your scrapbook page, or cute cards!!!
If you were doing a BUILD A BEAR PARTY, you can make your own invitations, and put the little pieces in the invitation to give the recipient their own bear to decorate (and not break the BANK!)
I love how you can piece this little bear together so easily to make it your own signature! I added Sweet Season, and Merry Moments paper to create a fun tag and card that go together!

I am praying for a fellow demonstrator, who on friday last week, the day after Thanksgiving, who went shopping with her mom, and got a sad call from her husband that her 2 year old daughter didn't wake up. She passed away in her sleep, and I just feel so saddened by this. It also follows the death of my beloved cat on Sunday (2 days ago). Emotional as I am, I wanted to pass this along......

Pray for her and her family..I know that she needs all the prayers she can get....
