This was one of the displays at Ellison's booth at CHA! The paper was die cut, then assembled, and then they applied glue (spray) and then rolled the box in glitter to give it a shine!. The table was very festive and bright! Wouldn't you want to attend this party! I love the ideas they had at the show, and this booth was exceptional!

Today, I went to the Hobby and Industry, or Craft Hobby Association show in Anaheim California. I went to see alot of the NEW product coming up in the Craft and Hobby industry. It was so much fun, and although we only got to 1 room downstairs (the new stuff) and then 1/2 room upstairs, WE HAD A BLAST! I went with my friend Ernestine, and we had fun. We made some cool things, and I can't wait to show you how cute some of the things that are coming up are! I want to buy more dies so that we can create some FUN projects! There are the Altoids containers albums and then there also is the round CD albums! Be looking for the Projects coming up! WE also saw VANNA WHITE! You can see her photo on the site. Her cute Daughter was also at the show! You've got to check out her new yarn at Lion Brand yarn!

My Favorite Book

This book is one of my favorites, only because it has the BEST POP UPS! It shows you how they create those wonderful pop up books and cards! Anyone who knows me, knows that I have a collection (very modest - by far!) of pop up books by Robert Sabuda, David Carter and James Diaz. I almost think this is the ultimate book to show how to make some of those wonderful pop ups. To find out more about this book go to www.amazon.com and look up this book!To find out more about this book, go to www.amazon.com and look up any of the above authors.

Accordion Book for Sell A bration

This is one of the projects From Sell A Bration! It uses 2 of the SAB sets and also uses sets from the Mini Catalog! I think overall, the colors are happy, cheerful and is a fun project to make. I scoped it from the Stampin' Success Magazine publication that we get monthly! So, if you come to one of the workshops I have scheduled, this will be one of the projects you will make! The sample in the Stampin' Up! Publication used photos of a cute little girl, but since everyone doesn't have small children, or grandchildren, I decided to use the flower stamp set instead!...I think this is waaay cuter....lol....ok, I am not a grandma!

Greetings from "Canada"! (Canada, via Epcot)

This is my nephews (Curt's kids), Tori and my self in Orlando. They were so funny and made the trip so entertaining. The Grumpy one is so funny...that was his way of being his own personality. (he isn't grumpy at all). The one with the bandaid is the silly one, and the one with the glasses is just like having a little brother for Tori. In fact, she complained that he was bugging her, like a little brother..I had to tell her to "just deal"...it was only for a week! She had fun though having 4 little brothers to bug. (one nephew is missing from the photo but he was at Universal, Orlando) This was taken in the Canada part of Epcot.

Did you know that Epcot stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow? Well, that is a mouthfull! I think that I would rather just call it Epcot. My brother, Larry, was the one who told me that! We had a nice week away from cold (brr) California, to be in the rain, and humidity in Florida!

Yes, I will eventually put these photos in an album and try to get at least a copy of them to Mom...she will want to have a copy as well as myself and Tori

You can be Creative!

Stamping isn't a hobby, it is a way of making creative juices flow. It relieves stress, and helps make you feel positive in a creative way. If you need something to help you feel creative, you should try stamping, or some craft and creative way to express yourself! This is a journal I made using the Simply Scrappin Kits available in the Hostess Level 1. You can do this with any of the Simply Scrappin kits! I love the easy way the adhesive die cuts make this so fun and simple! If you're interested in learning how to make one of these, be sure to check out my classes! http://www.dianneshiozaki.stampinup.net/Events.aspx

Lions on Safari

The Lions were out on the rock, sunning themselves. It was a cool sight to see. Tori and I went a couple of days later and they were hiding at the top of the rock, so we could barely see them. So, seeing them in this shot was a sight! Of course, my battery in my camera was low, so I couldn't get another shot of them, and the jeep would not stop moving. It was the best I could do!

2007 Welcome in the New Year!

Welcome to 2007, and out with 2006. It has been a full week, and we celebrated it in Orlando with my mom, brothers, and their families. We had a nice time, but we're glad to be back in California now. Tori has school, and she is back there now, and tomorrow I go back to work. I have some photos that I will post so we can see how much fun we did have in the rain, and humidity and cold! The boys were so much fun, and we had a blast spending time with all of them!
