Comfort Cafe

Keeping up with the trends...I like banners. I think that this style of decor is so cute!  To play a twist on it, I used circles. I found this one on pinterest, and had to scope it out!  (so scoop and scope, I did!)  I added the circles by folding them to the twine and then placing the excess twine on the back of the embossed card.

I used Crumb Cake so that it would allow the colors from the Designer paper to shine, don't you think it shows it off better? I do!  I love the colors more..(It wasn't my favorite combination at first, but it is really growing on me, only because I'm not playing down any of the colors but allowing them to shine on their own!).....The Designer paper is from the Comfort Cafe Collection, and...you just have to love them!

Everything Eleanor

This is Everything Eleanor.  She's a lovely set, don't you think?  I love that the swirls are so graceful and the flowers can look so delicate.

The Thank you is from the Curly Cute set.  I stamped the flowers and swirls in Pretty in Pink, and then Rose Red.  The label is stamped in Baja Breeze and the words in Island Indigo. It is mounted on Rose Red and Pretty in Pink.

Simply put...it's a simply sweet card!

Sorry for not posting in awhile..I have been busy working and knitting and working....and didn't have any time to stamp, although now, at least I might have a few extra $$ to buy more stamps!  (smiles!)

Happy Father's day

This is my card to my dad....very simple.  He's not the kind of dad that will look at a card, and realize, OH wow..you made this for me.  He'll read it, and maybe it might go back into the envelope, or it might go into the trash....(it's ok. I totally understand my dad).  So, the effort to make cards, or even go out and BUY one, isn't really there for me.

So, I decided I would stamp one -albeit, a very simple one, but one that I have had in my mind for a while now....and then send it off to him. So, it isn't very complicated, but it does have a nice effect, and one that I haven't used in awhile!

I brayered the background with the new ink pads - Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green, Primrose Petals and used Midnight Muse to stamp the flowers.  I layered it on Midnight Muse and then onto Crumb Cake cardstock!  I like how simple this was.  Not much muss or fuss. My dad will be happy he got a card from me.

Now, I just have to mail it off in time. (it's thursday, I should have time).....rolling my eyes!

Flag Day

Today, I wasn't feeling very patriotic, but I was reminded that since today is FLAG day, that I should appreciate the fact that I can choose whether or not to fly a flag, and I can choose whether I want to salute the flag.  I have the FREEDOM to choose how I want to live and who I want to vote for...

So, after thinking about this...I decided to paste this flag on today's posting..

 BECAUSE...I have a choice!

 So, today's posting is about the NEW IMPROVED Stampin' Up! classic ink pads!

I have to say, I want ALL of them brand new! I am so thrilled at the new format and the colors are very vibrant and stamp beautifully!

I am starting to work on my stamping again..I haven't ordered very much from the new catalog only because my budget has been limited and because I have been working on other projects!

I will be back soon, I promise!
