Graduation Card

Graduation is coming!

I made this invitation for a graduation party for my daughter when she was graduating from Middle School (it was a K-8 church school) and we did it for the whole class (and parents) as a reflection of their years at their school.

The main thing wasn't the card and tassel on the front, it was the pop up, which had the invitation

I had to use a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper

To make the pop up, you will need your STANDARD A2 card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2")
Take the paper with the PRINTED invitation facing up. This sheet is blank so there isn't any printing, but you can get the idea

FOLD in 1/2 so that the paper now measures 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Fold in 1/2 the other way only by creasing paper (by the fold)

Fold in the crease edge to the center,

Fold the bottom part in to the center. Open up your folded paper.

This is what it will look like. OPEN up your folded triangles. You will then have to refold the triangles by pushing them to the inside.

The lines mark where the SNAIL adhesive must be placed.

This was originally on my blog in 2006 when my daughter graduated from Middle school.
Soon...we'll be celebrating her graduation from High School! YIKES!
