Playing with Copic Markers

Today, I went to ART SUPPLY WAREHOUSE....and bought Gamsol (for my blending my Prisma Pencils) and ....what did I FIND??? Copic Sketch Markers..!! Now, I've had alcohol based markers (from Printworks) and they were really fun to play with..but I love these colors! I have the Copic markers on order from my friend Gina Taylor, but ...I can't wait any more. I am too impatient..so, I saw them in their little boxes on display, and thought.."Well, I can play, can't I?"...so I bought a few colors. actually, 6 colors although 1 of the pink colors is not in this photo! I can't say that I am doing very well at playing or coloring. I don't have enough marker colors to really blend, but I do have the blender from the other system of alcohol markers so, they were able to blend somewhat.

This is my first attempt with the markers...and although I didn't get any fleshy tones, so I couldn't color some face or do anything other than flowers..I thought this was a bright pretty way to use this set (SO MUCH, from Regionals). I really am impressed with the Vibrant images that you can get with the markers. The color just got better and better as I layered them together, and blended more. I still have a way to go, but I think I am hooked on these copics...
I used the wild wasabi cardstock (the one in the special for 3.95) and mounted it on Purely Pomegranate. It is stamped on Very Vanilla Cardstock, and I love the bright colors against the Wild Wasabi. The green copic is close to Garden Green or Wild Wasabi...so I think it works well with together!
Now, for the shameful part....I have the airbrush system for this copic markers. I loved that, and I even have a generator for my airbrush. (is that obsessive or what??)
I guess I better dig it out from it's hiding place!!! (YIKES!!) and play with that too!
