Summer is here...can you feel the heat? Well, it is very hot here in California...and although I know other areas around the country and the world get hot too, it doesn't always lend itself to stamping...well, especially if you don't have air conditioning....
When I lived in the SF Valley, I had air conditioning..well, you have to! It is just too darn hot there. I live now in Long Beach...usually, in the past, there was about 6 days of really hot weather, but usually we get the nice beach ocean breeze...today, at 9:00 am (saturday)...IT IS HOT! I need to go to the gym, but I am procrastinating..so I decided to stamp a card using this DORMANT stamp set, Summer by the Sea. I am going to send this to my boss' daughter, (age 6) who will be going away for her first summer church camp. She's so cute and tiny, and precious! Her daddy (my boss) is going too, to be a counselor for the 3rd grade boys. I think he's a little intimidated! (9 boys..i think he'd rather be in the office with 5 ladies, and his wife at home!)
Anyways..since this is her first camp, I wanted to make her a card....
This is a simple card, using Copic markers, and Summer by the sea. I decided it needed to be pizzazed up! (did I spell that wrong?) I added the bow and glitter...I am glitter challenged, and I figured that Rebekah will like the glitter, so purple glitter was added to the flowers. I am praying for a good time for Rebekah as well as 2 other people that I am praying for! I sent their cards already, and I did actually attempt to take a photo, but I guess I didn't put the digital card in all the way, and so they didn't 'take'! I used the Crab & Co for those 2 cards. Trust me, they, were really pretty cool!
This is my retired box (for this current catalog)
That's pretty good if I can admire myself! Most of them are older stamps..ha ha...not that old, but they are older, so they've been around for a time...
I will be having a sale soon, to get rid of them, plus, getting rid of older stamps....are you looking for something in particular? (especially before I list them on ebay or such..)
The green sticker is from this current year, and the orange ones were the hostess sets. In my cabinet, the yellow stickers are the dormant ones for me to keep them straight! So, "Summer by the Sea" has a nice yellow sticker on it now!
