Fresh Cut Notes

It bothered me that this card is too small to send in the mail by itself. I kept thinking that if I mounted it to a quarter size sheet of cardstock, then it would be fine to send out in a regular envelope. So, I was looking at samples on other websites, blogs etc of what people were doing with this Stamp set, and the Die cut cards.....

I ended up using ideas from lots of places, including the flyer that Stampin' Up! is using, plus several blogs! I like the simple shape of the flower, but ...did you notice the punched flower in the flyer???

It is the punched flower from the OLD SPRING BOUQUET punch!!! (NOT FAIR!)

It fits perfectly, and I already sold my punch, so...I decided to just make due with what I had, and used the stamp instead (from the set)

I love the bright colors of summer, and so I stuck with Summer Sun, Tempting Turquoise, Only Orange, and Green Galore. I then, mixed the colors up so each card had something of each color. The formula is the same. The Button matches the back cardstock, the Ribbon matches the center flower.

I stamped the inside with VERSAMARK ink on the underlying inside cardstock.

The buttons were not BRIGHT ENOUGH, and so I rubbed them on the appropriate color to make them brighter. (only orange, and summer sun)
Also the ribbons were not bright enough (the Green Galore, and Summer Sun, so I dyed them with the re-inkers)

You can buy this STAMP set for 21.95 and 1 set of 15 note cards for 5.00 (each additional pkg of note cards is 8.95)...don't miss out on this preview!

Oh, and if you're wondering what I did with the envelopes....stay tuned...still working on it, but, I didn't forget about them..they're too cute to not use them for something!!! I have to go to another basketball game...I hope God forgives me for missing church again! lol
