I have to say that they had made some GREAT points....!
I found that there are a lot of reasons to be unhappy, but how many focus on how to BE HAPPY?
I find that I am happy doing my crafts, I love knitting, stamping, photography, and being with my daughter. I love being with friends, and those that I stamp with! I find that creating fun projects and sharing outweigh all the money in the world or the problems that you face...Having the courage to get up and do something random for someone is much better than running away from the problem or situation!
There were a few steps that they gave to BE HAPPY!
There were a few steps that they gave to BE HAPPY!
1. Random Acts of Kindness - passing around something "just because" Lately, I have been reading about teens or others who have been committing suicide or other tragedy*...how many times have we asked ourselves what could've been done? I know we can't fix the world, but if we all passed around a little Random Act of Kindness (RAK), maybe we might have been able to help that person? It might be your co-worker, it might be your friend, it might be your relative...start by passing out kindness to everyone....even a smile, might warm someone's heart!
2. Keep a Gratitude Journal - Focus on positive things, rather than negative things. Write down scriptures or phrases that mean something to you to boost your energy and your focus!
3. FORGIVE - wow..that's a hard one, but forgiving someone will release your negative energy and will allow you to go on. It might not change anything in your relationship with that other person, but it will improve YOUR life!
4. Write a THANK YOU letter...not email, or ecard, but a REAL letter or CARD! Send it through the mail after you sit down with Pen and a BEAUTIFUL stamped card will be good for you as the sender, and GREAT for the recipient! Maybe the person you're sending to, isn't going through a good time, and this card might be the most wonderful gift in the world because you send them a card!
5. MAKE your BED - making your bed leaves you with a positive energy that will allow you to start the day with a positive motion, and a sense of completion
NOW...aren't these easy steps to take?
If you want to watch this, I will send you the link. They have 2 authors who wrote books on how to be (or at least try to be...)HAPPY!
Let's be happy! - now...go stamp a card and send out your own RAKS!

*one of kids from my daughter's school committed suicide after no one posted any comment on his facebook page...now, I realize it goes much deeper than that, but just think...maybe he might have been okay, if one of his friends sent him a card....now after the fact his facebook page is filled with sorrow and saddness....
