Baby Book

A Friend told me that she had to get a baby gift..and she was thinking of an album...
She described a book that folded out and flipped....and I think I know what she meant, however, sometimes, when you have something in mind but you really want to do something else?

Well, this project was something that came out of that thought. I have been wanting to make one of these albums, and I finally ordered the CD folders from Uline
I love the Bella Rose Papers. Are you falling in love with them too? Well, maybe looking at more projects done with this lovely set of Designer DSP's (Double sided paper) will make you more in love with it! This paper, is also something very special to Shelli, the CEO of Stampin' Up! She's also going to have a series of designs that are exclusively hers...and I think this is one of the items in this special grouping...well, I could be wrong, but it is quite lovely!

I didn't have enough letters to spell Baby, so I used a Sizzix die letter, the fun serif letter, in my cuttlebug. Yes, the cuttlebug will cut our chipboard. So, it doesn't look too bad with the script letters!
I colored the letters with Rose Red Craft Ink and let them dry.
The scallop is colored with Chocolate Chip Craft ink and embossed with a thin layer of embossing powder, and while it was still hot, and moist, I used a rubber gloved finger to rub against the embossing powder, which glossed it a little but gave it a scrunged look...(is that a word?)

The center of the book has these little pockets which hold tags. The pockets are 3x3 envelopes that my dog dirtied up in one of his crazy rampages, and rather than throw them out, I decided to cover them with the DSP. I also used some chocolate chip ink to scuff up the sides to cover the dirt....

Look at my schedule because SOON, I will be scheduling this class! Includes a roll of sticky tape, 3 folders, and designer papers, and chipboard letters to personalize it for your needs!

PS. I got this idea from Patty Bennet's blog, and from the Crafttvweekly.com (Pop Pop Fizz Fizz)
