Sometimes, I go to the Original Rubber Stamp convention, because it was where I got started. I started going around 1985.....before that, I was always at the WESTWOOD Art festival in Westwood, CA (Los Angeles, near UCLA). A Stamp In the Hand was my first introduction to the "ART" of stamping. A few years after that, they didn't consider Rubber Stamping "TRUE ART". HA! I actually bought my first rubber stamp for making art projects in 1984 and in dental hygiene school, a friend gave me a bear with a heart and it said Bear Hugs.
This Saturday is the Original Rubber Stamp Convention...where it all began......They usually have some creative hands on projects and classes....maybe you can check it out..!!! They don't have as many vendors as they used to, and it is very small considering what it used to be..I think that the Stampin Up! convention has much more enthusiasm..but maybe if you can't go, this might be a good way to get some new inspiration.....

Going north on 405 freeway. . .Get off on the Carson/Avalon South exit and turn right. Enter the driveway just past the Hilton Hotel. The convention center shares the parking lot and will be on the left side. There is more parking on the north side of the center.
Going south on 405 freeway. . .Get off on the Carson St. exit and turn left. Enter the driveway just past the Hilton Hotel. The convention center shares the parking lot and will be on the left side. There is more parking on the north side of the center.
