I used to love sewing and quilting....that's how I got my email address (dee-quilt)...but I think I got tired of how long it takes to get gratification, and you know, we live in an INSTANT GRATIFICATION world....sad, but true.
I jumped at the chance to get this die and it has taken me a while to do something with it. I pulled out my fabric 121716 Deck the Halls, and although it is a Christmas named fabric, it really has a nice antiquated touch to it, and doesn't have to be just for Christmas!
Dresden die 125597 32.95
http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=125597I used a scrap piece of fabric to 'hold' the stitches in between so it doesn't waste thread, and makes it easier to put in the next section to sew. this really helps to cut down the thread snipping after you piece the fabric pieces together. If you haven't tried, it you really should!
I'm actually making this to be a centerpiece mat for my table, and it is completed I used the 3 1/2" circle die to make the center. I haven't taken a completed photo yet, but it is done!!! (really!)
Today, the BIG ROCK came to Long Beach! It was transported from Riverside about 100 miles away and traveled through the streets to get to the LACMA - LA County Museum of Art. This is the first time they have ever moved anything so big since the Pyramids in Egypt...HA...has anyone recorded anything like this since the pyramids?? ...what about stonehenge? hmmm....
