Kimono kids Lantern

It is sunny and nice here in Southern California and so I am thinking of SPRING and I have been trying to be busy working (my other job) and getting ready to file my taxes, so stamping has been on a back burner just these last few days....(apologies!! )

I was thinking of a Japanese lantern with this set! I love this set! Kimono Kids has a special place in my heart! <3

I used to dress up when I was a little girl in my kimono and every year for summer would dance in the Japanese festivals. My daughter danced in a few of them and always loved getting dressed up and of course, putting make up on!!!

Spring is coming soon, and Ohinamatsuri is a big celebration in Japan. Girls day is March 3rd, and celebrated with girls in their beautiful colorful Kimonos and cherry blossoms (sakura).

I'm a little early in celebrating Ohinamatsuri but you can get a taste of a Japanese celebration!

The Lantern was created using whisper white cardstock creased and folded. Then run through a crimpter. I added the black to the top and bottom and then punched out the flowers (used the retired trio flowers punch) I also used the crop a dile to punch the holes in the flowers to add the string.

Adding the Kimono girl to the lantern using dimensionals.
