Were you the type of person in school to pass along notes to friends? I mean, not your regular notes where you filled up the notebook page full of words gossiping about "who did what or did where or where did they go kind of thing" and folded it in quarters.....but were you the one who did things with FLAIR?
I laugh because I was one who always folded my papers up with flair full of my latest gossip and news with friends in passing along the hall. We had lots of stuff to write and we made sure we filled up the entire piece of notebook paper. We folded it into a cool little note that would disguise the note so that if a teacher found it, it looked like it was Origami...ha!
If they only knew!!!
Well, I had forgotten all about this lost art!!
AND I thought it was lost in all the teenage texts and IM's and photo emails and twitter and MySpace type of world.....But. Lo! and behold! My daughter and her friends fold and write notes all the time!!!
She had an origami heart on the coffee table (and if you've seen my coffee table, it is hard to find anything!). I asked her what it was, and she grabbed it from me and said "nothing". Well, you know if they say "nothing", then it is SOMETHING!!!
I asked her how to make this and so she willingly showed me how to make one!
So..this is using the Bella Rose papers, and a sweet heart card! It is large (the folded card is 4 1/4 x 4 3/4" Don't ask me why the weird shape, it is probably some left over cardstock I had laying around)
I will post a tutorial for this soon. I did take photos as I was folding this... *smile*..
I was sad to hear about Michael Jackson..i guess living in Los Angeles, we get bombarded with celebrity stuff, that you would think we were immune, but after losing Farrah Fawcett and MJ and Ed McMahon...we're almost ready to cry out loud here....
