Well, did you stay up to celebrate the New Year? I was snuggled in bed, watching tv, and the big ball drop down..and also listening to my neighbors loud party.....across the back yard....It wasn't a bad party, at least until after midnight when the guy on the microphone was rapping and wouldn't SHUT up! and he got the partiers screaming and yelling...that was enough!
Bah Humbug, right? Well, they finally quieted about 12:40, I think the police came to tell them to quiet it down. The music was still playing, but a little softer...
This morning, I got up to watch the parade, which I don't normally do, but I felt like it since my pastor's daughter was marching in the parade..!!!

She plays clarinet for the USC marching band, and they're in the Rose Bowl playing against Penn State!
Go TROJANS!
I made this box while I was 'watching' the parade using the clear cover sheets cut with the Scallop Envelope die, and then I used the Brushed Silver cardstock and punched with the snowflake punch. I filled it with candy kisses, (silver of course! ) and then used the sticky tape and the chunky silver glitter to add more sparkle!
Happy New Year, and whatever you're doing today, start the year with Happiness, Cheer and hugs from me....!!

Cute box! Glad to see the parade inspired you. Did you actually get to see your pastor's daughter on TV?
ReplyDeleteMy Mom & Dad were HUGE fans of parades (Rose Bowl and the Macy's Day parades), and would eat their breakfast in front of the TV to watch them. I've always found parades to be boring, so as an adult, tnat is one thing in my life I've discarded. Probably my loss. Oh well!
