Baby Jesus is born

Baby Jesus is Born.....I water colored the image in with the aquapainter, in Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, chocolate chip, More Mustard....and mounted it on Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. The ski slope paper is so cute and this needed a smaller less bold image than the Poinsettia that was with this word stamp set.

This weekend is the A Stamp In the Hand Rubber Stamp Convention at the Carson Center. Saturday and Sunday November 8 and 9. Maybe I will see you there. I haven't decided if I will go, but I just might take a peek at the new stuff....can't spend much, but gotta get some ideas!

Old Fashion Images

The vintage look of this set, really makes you feel the days of old...skating on a frozen pond...well, not in California, but maybe in some parts of the world.

I love the sparkly feel of the Green paper, and the scallop accents in Chocolate Chip. I trimmed the circle punched image in Chocolate and Baja Breeze. The ribbon is the wide Chocolate Chip ribbon, and tied in a bow. The Merry Christmas is stamped using white craft ink.

Resisting the urge to buy..and failing miserably!

I really resisted...or at least tried to resist. I tried NOT to buy another stamp set, for Christmas, or from the Mini catalog, and FAILED Miserably! I saw some beautiful cards made with this set, and I caved in....crushed, bombed, and so, now, I have to make a card with this. I stamped it in White Craft ink on Brilliant blue, and dusted glitter over the snowflakes. I tied the cording with beads on the ends, but I think the beads are too small. I might try to make it using rhinestone brads....

There are a lot of blogs doing 12 days of Christmas cards. I'm not doing that, but I think what I will be doing is sharing a few ideas that I have been working on...so at least maybe some inspiration might come out of it!

Suki Joins the house!

Our newest member, at least for now...we're not sure what will happen, but I am taking her to the vets to see what can be done for this cute little girl. In the meantime, I have made a little sweater for her, and although the weather is not for sweaters, she fits in it! hooray for my knitting skills...might not be great, but .....she's wearing it so it isn't unravelling!

Introducing SUKI
Chihuahua long hair puppy....
kisses and hugs always..

Country Living Joy Garland Project #1

Yes...I am showing a picture of .....MICHAEL's! OOOh NOO?

Well, sometimes, you just have to stop there and get ideas for new things..or to display and enhance projects you're working on!

I stopped at Michael's to get this garland....which was used on the display for Stampin' Up's model.....and I love it....

I stamped the letters from the Big Deal Alphabet, in Real Red Craft Ink, on Baja Breeze Cardstock, and after inking up the scallop chipboard, and gluing on the designer paper on the chipboard, assembled it, and hung them on the beaded Garland.....

I will be adding more elements to this garland, and you will want to have this in your house...so, be sure to look for this garland at Michaels.....and order your Country Living Holiday Kit soon!!!! I will try to make sure I take photos and add them to the blog so you can get more ideas for this kit! You can order it online through my website! http://www.dianneshiozaki.stampinup.net/

PS. I found a dog today.!!!..it is a puppy, from the SPCA, and she's so cute! She's a long hair Chihuahua. I know....I have always been a big dog lover, and especially Golden Retrievers, but this little dog is so cute..I just hope the cats will love her....!!!! We'll be picking her up on Tuesday..Election day....oh, and her name is SUKI (which means "kiss" or "love" in Japanese - the Japanese don't have a word for love, actually, but this word means that you really like something ALOT!). She's a teeny little dog, and I think the smallest dog I have ever had!!! Isn't she a cutie?

She sort of reminds me of the little Aussie we found..maybe that's why she appealed to us!

*Note: On Sunday, we found out that she has a grade 5 Heart Murmur. We're not sure she will survive the surgery to spay her. I am picking her up this morning to get a second opinion on her, and to see if she was misdiagonosed, or if her life will be a short one. Regardless, we've decided," I think" that, we'll keep her even if she only survives for a year. We've fallen in love with her, but I will let you know what the second opinion tells us.....

Be sure to VOTE!

LNS Challenge #8

Challenge #8 is a Stair Step Card

I think that this is a great way to make a diorama card without all the staging. It simply is done by folding the cardstock and then assembling the pieces.
This is a very simple Stair Step card.....very simple..and done with the Ahoy Matey set that is DORMANT. It is not in the catalog, but it is still available to order...be sure to ask about it!

OOH, don't forget to Set your CLOCKS BACK 1 Hour!!! (for USA or those who are in daylight savings time) WE get an extra hour of sleep! WOO HOO!!
