We don't like sympathy cards.....at least knowing we have to make one means that someone is feeling pain and we feel that we need to pray and support them. That's the positive side of making a sympathy card. The recipient should feel some sense that there is life that goes on and we send hugs through the mail.
My friend, who used to come to my dental office just lost her husband. Now she's dealing with the loss of her husband...and she lost a son a few years ago, and it just seems that it cuts just as fresh as it was when it had happened.
I haven't seen her in awhile but when I was going through my divorce, she helped me by sharing a book that she read when she was going through some difficult times. This is why she's special to me.
