A Journey....

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step......"
It seems that sometimes, you have to take a step back or out, to see the whole picture, and once you look back at your life, you see things differently.....The choices we make are not always the right ones, but if we had made that right choice, would we be different people than we are today???

So much for being philosophical. I was searching through blogs, and reading emails from my stampin' groups, and found some really cool tutorials on making books, and journals! I needed this search, because there are times that you just find that you don't know what to do, and need a fresh start for inspiration!

I am loving this new paper, which is available to buy NOW! It is just beautiful!

I found some cool recycled envelopes in the office supply store, and decided to make a journal album out of the envelopes. One of the blogs that I came across was by Laura Denison. She has a terrific blog using all sorts of things, but usually, it starts with an envelope!

So, seeing these kraft color envelopes (and it was on sale for cheap!) I decided to make some pockets to store some tags and make a cool album. The chipboard covers were from another paper supply store, very thick, and NICE~!

Using my Bind-it-All, I attached all the envelopes together, and all the pages are double pockets. They each have a tag, and I used 3 envelopes to make 12 pockets.

The letters on the cover were cut from comic book board, and then colored using dye based inks (Stampin' Up - Rich Razzleberry and Marine Mist). The flower was made using the Fun Flowers die in Marine Mist, So Saffron and inking up the edges
