Simple Easy Gifts to Give

Our Hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having in spirit, become a child again at Christmas time. -Laura Ingalls Wilder

I ordered a bunch of clear boxes from Clearbags.com and for the most part, they are for cards, to give out to friends, or for my customers. I wanted to also use them for other items such a gifts for my daughter's basketball team or for my co-workers. Using a pre-made box, certainly makes it easier in some ways, but then the challenge is to come up with something to make this look fun, festive and worth receiving!

The Cocoa is from Walmart, and they sell them individually for .50 each, and the Chocolate Santa's are in a package of 6 for 2.50. The candy canes were individually wrapped, in a box for 1.00. So, total cost on the edible items are less than 1.25

The designer paper is just fitted to the top and the base of the box, and I used the scallop punch to finish the edges.
The top note die is scored to fit on the top of the box, and then I punched holes and used the JUMBO eyelets to finish the openings. The ribbon is attached through the holes and using sticky tap, adhered to the top of the box.

Of course this needs a stamp or 2 on it, so I used the Welcome Christmas from the Heard from the Heart set

and the snowman from the Punch Pals set I got on special from Holiday Extravaganza Sale!

I think Tori's basketball team would be happy to receive it...maybe I need to add some lip balm to it ...hmmm....

you know, High School girls...get to them via their stomach and their beautiful smiles!
