Altering Board Books

I got these Board books from the TARGET 1.00 Bin in the front of the store...They are really cool board books, which have a LIFT the Flap story.

The flaps come off really easily, and are only adhered with a rubber cement type adhesive. I then covered each page using the GLUE STICK and the Designer Papers....

Trimming the corners round, so that it finishes off the egdes, and I used the Cutie Pie Papers. OOoh, I love the bright colors! I had some photos of my daughter's beach days from 2006, which I just love all the pictures of beach, surfing and the friends....

The photo on the right side of this page, is a lift the flap, which I glued the photo to the flap (you can see the green tab for the flap) and you can then adhere a photo or journaling under the photo. It adds another dimension and doesn't waste the flaps!

You can see the whole book is covered, from front to back to spine.

It still needs more embellishments, but as I get inspired, I can add to this book more and more....I think it has a great start, and collage isn't that far from my mind.....maybe getting some sand to put on some pages too...lol..it was very windy, and too bad we can't bottle the Pacific Ocean smell....hmmm, can you smell the salt? I do love that ocean smell!

This is the cover of the book....I had taken this photo of the kids with the sunset in the background and they are almost silhouetted.......

It was a great day, and one of my favorite photos.....Kawabuga! Let's ride the waves.....
How easy is it to recycle your board books??? Well, I think it is very simple and very economical...and we are thinking...GREEN!
We also will keep adding to the book..so it will be changing...and making it better each time we add to the memories!
