New Product that I purchased from the Catalog.....

Yesterday, You saw these papers...aren't they pretty!!!

I also got these punches. I love that snowflake and I am going to be using that one a lot. I did get some lubricant for that one since I think it will be on that will stick....(I got some of the paper glide stuff for punches)....

The butterfly punch is perfect for Flight of the Butterfly set (that was from last year's catalog)
Also, I ordered these buttons, and the bulk buy on the buttons...I already divided up the 2 packages I got...because the green ones are from one package of buttons and the blue ones are from the other...

Shown in the photo is the Scallop Square die, and the Embossing plate (the new one) and the Embossing Folder (I only got 1 out of the 2 new ones)

I also got the Fancy Crochet Flowers. I can't wait to play with those!!!

Don't forget, I ordered the Fancy Favor die too....and a simply scrappin kit (shhh..I won't spoil the one I got....until I get ready for that one!)...ooh and ribbon too...lol

I will announce my BLOG CANDY WINNER soon!!! Thank you all for participating!

4th Of July Celebrating! Patriotic Stars

I bet you thought I was losing my mind!!! I mean, in my posting I posted that it was the 4th of July and I didn't even put anything in Patriotic...I am patriotic! I love what our Freedom means and what we've lost to be Free..... I don't have any of the new papers in patriotic colors, so I decided to pull out my Retired colors...Riding Hood Red, and Baja Breeze to create my patriotic stars....
and whatever your choices in religion/faith, relationships, I hope you have a great day of celebration! We all have a Right of choice....and many paid the price of that freedom with their lives......

The photos of Independence Hall and Ben Franklin figure were taken by me in 2006 in our trip to Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC.

Happy 4th Of July! Cottage Wall Fancy Favor

Sorry for not posting for a while...We needed to get out to check out a college up north, and so we took the Train up the Coast of California! It was a blast, and we stayed with relatives in Central California. We both love it up there, and I will share a photo of my daughter....

The weather at Morro Bay was just so perfect..even the seagulls couldn't spoil that..(seagulls are notorious for pooping on your head as you pose for photos...lol)

Now..thinking about Stampin' Up! and the catalog........
What if you look at the catalog, for several days, and you write down everything you want...and it totals up to be over 500.00?, or 1,000.00? What if your budget is only 200.00 or so. Now for most of us, even 200.00 is a lot of money! We have groceries to buy, shoes to get our kids, and Yearbook, Senior photos, clothes, vacations..etc.
How do you choose what you can "afford" to get, or not get?
Last year, it was easier. For some reason, I was really attracted to the Baja Breeze and the Chocolate that was in the Parisian Breeze combination. So, I chose what was on that page...but this year, it was SO MUCH Harder!

This year, I love this combination.
More than what they were offering to us in the Preview, this combination was just so pretty.

The colors are Rich Razzleberry, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, and Orchid Opulence. I combined this with the Cottage Wall Designer Paper Series. Isn't the colors just striking?

So What I decided to purchase with a limited amount to spend, was the butterfly punch, and the Cottage Wall Designer papers.

I got a few other thing which I will show you tomorrow.

First cut your cardstock (Rich Razzleberry) at 3"x 2 7/8" Cut your designer paper 1/4" smaller.
2 3/4" x 2 5/8"
Punch your butterfly (rich Razzleberry)
Cut your Old Olive Strip Ribbon approx 8.5" long

Take your double slot punch and punch it through the butterfly. Set this aside.

Next, take your ribbon.

Tie it in a knot. Make sure you tie it tight and trim the ends. I only trimmed just a 'smidge' off the ends, so there is still ample ribbon in the loop area.

Next, cut the opposite end of the ribbon.

This is what you end up with. If you do this for your ribbons for your cards, you will save several inches off each of your cards, and possibly will get more tied ribbons for your $ spent!!!

Next, insert the ends in the butterfly.

Pull the ends through, and you've embellished your butterfly!

Adhere the back of the ribbons to the back of the card.

Attach this piece to your Die Cut Fancy Favor Box NEW!

I added a strip 1" x 12" and then punched the scallop border along both sides of the strip. I didn't match the scallops up because it made it look like a braided handle. They are attached to the side with the Brads and the Boho Blossoms.

Wouldn't this be a cute little basket that you can fill with cards or a Party favor?

Petal Pizzaz & The 2009-2010 IN-Colors!

At first...I thought these colors were too bright or vibrant. And it wasn't just the colors but the combination...or maybe it was because I really loved the 2008-2009 In-Colors...

But, these are growing on me. I think that the Melon Mambo is really pretty and the Crushed Curry is really a super lovely yellow!
To create this card, You take 2 pieces of cardstock that is 7" x 4 1/4"
Score in 1" and 1 1/2" on both sides of the cardstocks (both pieces) This will accordion fold in.

I then, took a piece of acetate and cut it 4 1/4" x 3". This will make the layer of flowers more dimensional inside the card!
I stamped several flowers in Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry,Bermuda Bay (not available yet), and cut them out carefully. I layered them together, and added the Razzleberry Lemonade paper over the Rich Razzleberry Cardstock

You can see the flower on the Acetate.

Put together, this shows some of the layers. The acetate is sandwiched between the cardstock.

Using the new Punch, I punched out the KIND THANKS and added it to the front of the card.....
Wouldn't this brighten your day??
It is only another day til the NEW Catalog starts!!!! Are you ready???
