Crazy for Cupcakes

This Saturday, I am having a Crazy for Cupcakes Class...and although green is not my favorite, this cupcake was one of the YUMMIEST cupcake photos I could find...so even though it is green for St. Patricks Day, (which is also in March), this could be my kick off for my cupcake class!

I haven't posted photos of my cupcake cards yet. Why? Well for one, I have been busy working on them, and even though I really start on these early, I didn't want to reveal them all yet.....One HINT! One of the card is a magic card that flips over like the magic wallet! I have done them before, but this one is a mini one with a cupcake (of course) on the cover!

You did see a hint of another card a few weeks ago....stay tuned!

This class is for Saturday, March 7 at 11am. Cost: 25.00
You will be making 5 cards, including the magic card!
AND includes a tote for your cards and envelopes plus cupcakes and lunch!

Pop Ups Dies coming!!

All mankind is divided into three classes: those that are immovable, those that are movable, and those that move.
Benjamin Franklin

We've got some new POP Up Dies coming from Sizzix! I can't wait for them to come!

I saw these at CHA, and of course, they wouldn't let us take photos of them...but they had really fun samples! I wish I could've taken a photo because I think it would sell you on the idea of HOW COOL this pop up is! Of course, Sizzix has a wonderful product line, and they had way more cooler (is that a word?) pop ups than just this one! But, I did order this one from Stampin' Up! There is a cake pop up die, but hey, I can't buy them all (I WISH!) I think I should get this next week, so hopefully, some cool samples will be on their way to my BLOG!

I will be having a class later in March on Pop Ups! You won't want to miss this class!!!

On another note:

Sherrill Graff has a contest for all Stampin Up demonstrators who wish to help their business grow. So, if you're a demonstrator, please visit Sherrill Graff's blog to see what she has planned for you! Sherrill Graff aka Late Night Stamper, is such a great inspiration. Not only does she inspire me to keep creating and coming up with ideas, she inspires others who are NOT in her downline...(I am not in her downline) to keep doing the best and creating, inspiring, and enjoying what we love to do! I also have some photos on facebook, so look for me on Facebook, and also Paper Craft Planet

On Camera with SUZE Weinberg

I went to CHA in January, and I was fortunate(?) enough to be in a video with SUZE Weinberg, for RANGER Inks! If you would like to see what we did at RANGER, click on the link! It was really cool using the UTEE.

This was fun, but don't mind me, You would think I had never done anything like this -- actually being on camera is NOT MY THING!

Death and Taxes

In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.
Benjamin Franklin

I stumbled on this website that had a quotes from Ben Franklin. That Ben Franklin must have been some character. I guess that's why he was so attractive to the ladies in his days....... He had a lot of really funny quotes, that really made things complicated seem so simple. I guess he said it all in a nutshell. I wonder where that quote came from? Well, I googled "death and taxes" because I couldn't remember who said that. I originally thought it was Thomas Jefferson, well, I was sort of close. If you want to see more quotes from Ben, click on the title of this blog entry, and I think you will be linked to it. I am sure you'll get a chuckle out of some of the quotes. I will have a few linked to future blog entries. I really liked them!~ (I have a pop up class coming in the works! So stay tuned! I got a new book that featured pop ups, and for those of you who know me, know that I collect pop up books and LOVE THEM!)

Well, this year, I will be 50.

OMG! My fingers just stopped typing. I guess the realization of writing that I am going into another decade just hit me and I stopped breathing...but, I am breathing now. whew! My friend told me that we should do something fun together since this is our big year, but then she reminded me that I am older than she is...well! Sandy...I found another friend who is also turning 50, and she's 2 days older than me! lol. We were laughing because we said that we should "DO" something fun. So...since she's older than me, I will let her decided on what to do..and we'll plan something..
Convention is going to be that week after my birthday, I know I will hopefully be attending that, (hopefully), but we'll see how this year goes. So far, it isn't looking great.

My card share for today is....using the Trio of Flowers and the Just Buzzin' By set

First, punch out 3 flowers using Pink Pirouette

Using your burnisher or Empressor, push the center of the flower down in the foam or use your palm of your hand. This creates a little cradle for the beads. The foam can also be used for Faux Stitching!

Using Crystal effects, place a small dot in the center and place your beads (quickly)

Add to your card! I colored in the card using Prisma Pencils. This is not good for a Stamp a Stack class since the coloring takes a while to do, but I think for a 'bee' card, it was an added touch to the card. I used the small leaf die in old olive.
Stamp: Just Buzzin By
Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Old olive
dies: leaf stem
punch: trio flowers
Prisma pencils, Basic Black ink, Crystal effects, beads

You can also click here to see the quotes by good ol' Ben....

Benjamin Franklin

CONTEST: Tell me your favorite Ben quote in the comments of this entry. You will win a Foam pad. Drawing will be done on March 1st. Entry must have email address or some way to contact you back to get your address. Limit 5 pads to be given out
