Yearbook page

My daughter is Graduating this year, class of 2010...

The cool part is that as a senior, you can make an ad in the back of the yearbook. I wasn't planning on it but they aren't getting very many ads due to the economy, and the original due date was December 10th...duh, who has money in December?

Well, I decided to make a page using MDS to create a page for my daughter. It is only a 1/2 page ad, but I like what i can create with MDS!

I used the Black and white paper from the Night & Day and then added other elements. The cool thing is that i can still change photos.

So, I think I might be done...she wants me to change a few of the photos, but we'll see.....what do you think?

Vintage Vogue and Well Scripted Quickie Card

I rarely use Barely Banana. It isn't because I don't like it, because I do...but, I don't gravitate towards yellows......
I have used this combination (Fabulous Flowers) So, I pulled out the colors and decided to see what I could do with the same colors but different stamp set...
I stamped the larger flower in Bashful Blue, and then the smaller flower in Barely Banana. The leaves were done in Certainly Celery. The die cut card is from the Matchbox die, in Certainly Celery. I stamped it with Well Scripted...and sponged the edges with Certainly Celery Ink. The ribbon is Banana Grosgrain Ribbon, and tied (not a square knot) The square knot turns evenly, but this one will skew to one side, which gives the card character.....
Easy & Quick!

Still here..again,

Just wanted to let you know that...I am still here. I have been busy thinning out my stash of stuff and getting ready for a move. I have to sell my house, and although the future is always a mystery....I hope to be able to continue Stampin' UP! These next few months are going to be biggies, because my darling daughter is graduating, getting ready for college and the move is going to be taking up a lot of time!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One of the exciting things for Stampin' Up! is the new Stampin' Connect! I love how it changes what we can share with each other! I think it is a great way to show our stuff, (and it is FREE!) as well as connect!....
It is only available to Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, and you need to get an invitation to join. (but free, free free free...did I mention Free?)....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I am having a garage sale! It is on Jan 30th, and it is from 9 am to 1pm. I might start it a little earlier, but we'll see. I want to get rid of as much stuff as I can, most of it isn't Stampin' UP! I think starting over is a good thing, and good to get rid of the stuff that you hang on to. For some reason, most of us crafters tend to hang on to things, but we can't take it to heaven, can we..!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We have to remember that we store our riches in heaven, not in our earthly bodies, so keeping stuff, is just left to those we leave behind...(NO, I am not leaving the earth soon... at least as far as I know!).....
hugs..
dianne
Sending Love Slider Album
The Slider Album is coming along! I have been working on the front cover and still need to get some photos for the inside of the album.
The letters L-O-V-E was punched using the simple alphabet dies, and when I put them on the album, I thought it didn't look very "dazzling"...so, I used the 2 way Glue and added some Dazzling Diamond Glitter.
The bird is punched out of Pretty in Pink Cardstock and the Bird punch.
The red strip was punched using the pinking heart border, and then I used the leaves that are with the bird punch, to layer over the red strip.
Voila! I added hearts! I think this finishes off the front....
Have a Great Sunday! It is a beautiful morning here in Southern California...hope it gets better for your area soon!
Sending Double Love!
Today, I was watching the movie Julie & Julia. It is so much fun to look through the eyes of a blogger..and to write about what was going on with her life, and her reflections...and comparisons with Julia Childs. It is a delightful movie, by Nora Ephron (one of my favorite producers - Sleepless in Seattle, and You've Got Mail) I love those sappy romance movies....and I guess using these papers makes me feel romantic......sigh....
I did work on some new project today, and it is cased from Andrea Walford....She was selling the Class/Tutorials but it is all sold out now. I am disappointed because I wanted to purchase it but didn't have the money to buy it....so, I decided to work on it to see if I could come up with a version that was close.
I cheated.....I "googled" slider album....AND...found a tutorial that had what I was looking for...
I am so sorry. I cheated... I feel like I am confessing to you....
But this is coming out so cute! I am using the New Papers from the 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog! This is called Sending LOVE....and it has embossed, glittery images as well as lovely Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla accents.....
I should have the Double Slider album completed soon.....but in the memory of Julia Childs and the move Julie & Julia...."Bon Appetite!"
Sweet Pea
Happy New Year!
Again...LOVING this new paper! There are several different color variations of this pattern and each one is just so yummy! I had a hard time picking out which ONE I wanted to use! I think I NEED (lol) another package of this Paper! I am going to be using this up!
This is a close up of the button detail. I used Pumpkin Pie corduroy button and Pumpkin Pie striped ribbon.
It is tied using Linen thread, and the button is attached by tying the ribbon on with the excess Linen thread.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Hope you're doing something fun today!
