More Soft Suede Christmas Cards

I bought this stamp set when it came out last year and never used it (GASP!) but, I really wasn't happy using it with some of the previous papers and colors that I had last year. This year, with Real red and Soft Suede, I think I finally have hit a nice combination. The soft suede gives a bronzy appearance.

The papers in the NEW papers from the Mini catalog are so perfect for this set! This paper is called Christmas Cocoa. The papers are assorted different 2 sided papers, and 2 of the papers are flocked! This is something different from Stampin' Up! I will be featuring more from this package in the future.

I used 2 way glue and glitter in the center of the flowers, in a champagne color. The color almost matches the Soft Suede ink!

I punched a hole using the 1/2" circle punch and then pressed the White Jumbo Eyelet prongs through the hole and then pressed them to the outside (underside of the paper).

The bow was tied and glued to the center of the Eyelet

More glitter to the center of the flowers, adds more glitz!

Halloween Pop Up Tree

Taking a break from Christmas cards...I plug away at just having fun stamping! So..what to break the monotomy...?

Halloween is coming..!
CLOSER than Christmas! So, I thought I would get out my Halloween and get some inspiration from my stamps...

Ok, I looked at them and saw.........Nothing! AAAAHHH!!!


But then, I was checking emails and someone directed me to their blog, which they had photos of the tree cut out in the New Halloween Designer Paper!..OOH my gosh!! (Karen Burniston)
HOW Inspiring! I decided to use Black as my base for my card and then using the colors in the Designer paper, Cast A Spell #115677 $9.95

I used my Halloween stamps - Scary Skeleton, #113244, and Twick or Tweet #116497, Grateful Greetings #116511 (new in the Holiday Mini Occasion Catalog coming soon to your mailbox!) and can be ordered starting September 1st....

The colors are Black, Green Galore, Certainly celery, Orchid Opulence, and Pumpkin Pie






The Pop Up! Tree was cut in Basic Black and the Star in Pumpkin Pie. The pieces are assembled, and I stamped the skeleton on separate pieces of paper and cut out. The tombstone is the tag punch (small and large).

I layered the 2 punched pieces with dimensionals, and mounted the ghosts and the skeleton behind the punched cardstocks. They are both held onto the card using a black strip that was folded in 1/2 and then stuck down with sticky strip tape. The skeleton on the tree, and the pumpkin is adhered to the tree so that when it lays down they are flat too, and then it pops up with the tree.

What can you do with the tree? I think maybe a forest is next in a scrapbook??? So, if you're doing a camping scrapbook page, wouldn't a forest of trees be the coolest thing?

Traditional Christmas Color CARD

Yes, i like the traditional colors, but I don't always use them for my cards that I send out to my relatives. I haven't decide what I am going to do this year, especially when the new My DIGITAL Studio comes out this year...

On one hand, I know my family and friends would be upset that I sent them a PRINTED CARD..not handstamped! ...but, I know I am going to be busy with Christmas this year.....

This card uses the Two tags die and the snowflake punch. I like the scallop edge on the one side. The snowflake is attached with the CLEAR Rhinestone brad which catches your eye more than this photo displays..... I love this die! I will keep playing with this to see what other things I can come up with! (so stay tuned!)

The snowflakes were stamped with white craft ink and then I glued glitter to the centers. The paper below is from the Merry Moment Designer papers...

Whatever type of card my family and friends receive, I hope they LOVE it... (well, let's just say, they better!)

Soft Suede Christmas

STAMPING........

Stamping is therapeutic and relaxing..On a summer day, you can get lots done when children are busy or taking a nap, or in my case, gone for the weekend!

I rarely have a weekend where I am not going someplace that involves a gym or movie theater, and although I miss my daughter, I am having fun making cards for future classes!

I added more snowflakes to this one after I took this photo, so it actually looks a little more "finished", but it is just a matter of personal taste!

This color cardstock is Soft Sueded. When combined with the Merry Moments Designer Paper, it gives off a Bronzy appearance instead of a soft cocoa color. I love how it seems to shine! The reindeer is one of the BEST BARGAINS in the catalog, featured on the last page, 208, called DASHER, 116816 $8.95.

The bow was a double stranded ribbon that has one tied around the other. I used a glue dot to apply that to the card.

Friday Night Stamping!

This card was for my FRIDAY NIGHT CLASS that I had last night! It was using the Movers and Shapers die. I think I am starting to really like this die! I haven't received any of the other

shapes yet, but I am looking foward to getting them at some point!

This Card uses Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry cardstock and Razzleberry Lemonade Designer paper. The ribbon is the Dotted Grosgrain ribbon in Crushed Curry. The buttons are "tied" using thin slices of paper that is threaded through the button holes to match the cardstock used in this card! (idea from Andrea Walford) The flower stamps are from the Flower Fancy Set, page 101, #111578 $36.95.

Christmas is coming!

I just purchased the MOVERS & Shapers die....and I really tried to resist buying it, but the Mini Catalog convinced me that it was something I NEEDED to get! The sample here isn't using something from the Mini, just the original Movers & Shapers die....OOOh gosh...

It cuts a card exactly 4 1/4 x 5 1/2"! and then you can cut out the window. The most amazing thing, is that you can move this die all over the card, and position it so that you can place your image that you want to peek out in any place! Amazing, huh!!!

So, Stay tuned to what can be created with the Movers and Shapers and what other windows that come out from this! And be looking for one of these Mini Occasion Catalogs to come out in your mailbox soon!!!

I was really blown away by this Mini Catalog! I hope you will too!

Medallion

Sorry for my absence! I have been stamping, but my laptop went down and I couldn't get it back online and my daughter has taken over my desk top...do you have that problem?

It is funny that she wasn't using the desk top at all, and the laptop wasn't being used, and now we have both machines going at once.

We've gone as far as IM'ing each other, and we're only in the next room... I KNOW..."SICK!"

Well, I ordered this stamp after seeing some of the most wonderful cards and decided to try to come up with something on my own. I used the Vanilla hardware frame and the build a brad. I used black cardstock with celery glitter on the build a brad. The wide Basic Black striped ribbon is so nice to use, and I fishtaled the end of the ribbon. Faux Stitching around the edges and versamark on the Old Olive with Basic Black in the hardware frame finishes this card off!
